Kimtern here, with your one and only source into the scandalous closets of Manhattan’s elite. Mmm, Mr. Humphrey– Dan was looking mighty fine in a grey v-neck (as per usual). What caught my eye was the grey blazer he had on over it. His shaggy ‘do on the other hand was disagreeable. I must agree with Blair; he looked like a muppet.
Seeing Serena in the same outfit for an entire episode is nothing short of disheartening. None the less, her beige Givenchy blazer, and Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Monteg dress were gorgeous. The orange belt was the perfect addition and splash of color for the outfit. I wouldn’t mind toting that purple Nancy Gonzalez tote around town. And, those green Charlotte Olympia Dolly Raffia platform pumps were to die for! It may have only been one outfit, but it was a solid one.
Chuck’s plaid jacket wasn’t one of his better suits, but I do like his latest accessory: new dog, Monkey.
All dressed up for his first day as an intern for the Spectator, Nate was looking dee-lish in his grey suit. I don’t like boss Diana’s naughty intentions, however her Marios Schwab dress was quite nice. The detailing across the bust was subtle, yet elegant.
I think Charlie/Ivy has a thing for pink. Last week, it was her pants, this week her shorts, and then the Jenny Packham dress she wore in the fashion show was a lovely dusty rose color.
Blair was looking cute in her blue-grey floral a-line dress. The bow-belt was very becoming of B. The backless Jenny Packham dress she modeled for the fashion show was a real stunner. The shimmery embellished mid-section was fabulous. I like the plunging neckline and sheer sleeves. Sexy & sophisticated, and oh-so Blair! Her hair looked beautiful pulled back in a bun. It showed off the diamond earrings wonderfully. And, with the episode entitled The Jewel of Denial, I expected to see some bling.
Lily’s back! No longer under house arrest, the socialite sported some dazzling diamonds herself. The white dress for her season 5 debut was tres chic. And, her lacey black dress turned heads at the fashion show. People may have been staring at the jail-bird for the wrong reason, however I sentence Lily to life as a fashion icon.
Ever the supportive husband, Rufus was easy on the eyes in his grey suit. Like father, like son, the Humphrey men sure clean up nice.
Is it just me, or are there fewer costume changes this season? A smaller wardrobe is never in style when it comes to GG. Blair’s baby bump will start to show soon. I wonder how the creative costume team will conceal her changing shape. Will Waldorf Designs put together a maternity line? I still don’t know if B is telling the truth about the paternity test, but all I can think of now is what will she name the baby?
