Kim here, with your one and only source into the scandalous closets of Manhattan’s elite (a.k.a. A fashion flashback of Gossip Girl’s mid-season finale.)
Was Charlie feeling sheepish over the outpouring of love from her overwhelming family? That would explain the wads of wool enveloping the debutante. C was beautiful from head to toe in BCBG’s wool dress and Maison Martin Margiela’s wool moto jacket. I hope it will keep her warm when the cold, hard facts about her identity are revealed. Sequins, and lots of them, are the way to introduce someone into New York society, and Badgley Mischka sequins no less.
Quite some time has passed since Serena’s debutante days, yet her feelings for Dan appeared unaltered last night. In a Leyendecker sheer blouse and high waisted leather shorts by Tibi, S succeeds in being sexy without looking suggestive. The Marchesa fringed dress with oversized bow was astouding; it was meant for Ms. Van der Woodsen’s marvelous frame.
Dan looked great wearing his heart on his sleeve– he didn’t seem to be feeling all warm and fuzzy, despite the flannel shirt; he looked crushed after surrendering Blair to her true prince, Chuck. His Bassness would look awful in a hospital gown, so he best make a speedy recovery (the thought of a worse fate is unBlairable).
