Hit home room with style! Peel yourself off the couch, and get ready for back to school. Before heading to class, a little shopping is always in order.

Kimberly Lamontagne did her homework as she studied the styles and calculated the trends. Here’s what accessories she’s adding to her cart this semester.

1. Awesome rings

Taking notes will be a lot less dull with these dazzlers on each joint.

2. Stud-tastic phone cases

It’s time to dress those digital devices; this case is the perfect cross between floral and studs.

3. Living à la Gossip Girl

Keeping gadgets safe & sound in, or out of a locker is a cinch, while daydreams of a semester abroad in the city of lights à la Serena and Blair may occur. #RIPGossipGirl

4. Old school classics

These sneakers are hardly a new creation, but Converse have made a comeback. Since the shoes’ popular resurgence, I crave a pair of low tops ASAP.

5. Arm candy

Via Accessorize For Awareness

These charming Accessorize For Awareness bracelets that my family makes for pancreatic cancer provide instant good karma. They’re fashionable, affordable, and help to #EndPanCan. It’s #ArmCandyForACure!

6. Backpacks

And, now I’d like to take all of the above, and store it in a Herschel bag. But, not just any backpack — a birdie back pack!

Top 5 NYE Extravaganzas

Given the world didn’t end a la Mayan Calendar conundrum, plan a night to remember and ring in 2013 in style; whatever your style is.

nyemask6Masked Avengers

Should auld acquaintance be forgot? In memoriam of Gossip Girl, throw yourself an outrageous Upper East Sider a la scandalous TV series. Or, head to Toronto’s upper east side for some masquerade fun at Yorkville’s Club V. Come for the free mask, stay for the midnight champagne toast (F.Y.I.: FREE masquerade masks for the first 400 people). Completing the Gossip Girl/NYC experience is the live countdown from Manhattan’s Times Square.

Bloor-Hot-Docs-cinema-320x213Bowl the night away

In complete contrast to a girlie Gossip Girl evening, this one’s more guy-centric, and aptly named THE DUDE’S NEW YEAR’S: THE BIG LEBOWSKI. Usher in the new year with a screening of the Coen Bros’ cult classic at Bloor Cinema. A Lebowski-themed party, filled with White Russians, AND bowling await you.

Skyfall_11_hLet the sky fall

Celebrate the 23rd Bond story, and have a Skyfall soiree in honour of the longest-running film franchise in history. Here’s hoping your party is a smashing successful like this film was at the box office this year. The heavily anticipated installment in the bond series drips with luxury, and sets the tone for an evening of extravagance. Tell your agents to come dressed as Bond, James Bond, or one of the many bodacious Bond girls. Naturally, you’ll serve shaken, not stirred vodka martinis while Adele sings in the background.

Side effect: Your get-together will get everyone geared up for TIFF Bell Lightbox’s Designing 007: Fifty Years of Bond Style which debuts in January. It’s only the largest and most comprehensive exhibit dedicated to the British spy.

Mackenzie House (AKA the home turned museum of William Lyon Mackenzie: TO’s first Mayor) is hosting a Hogmanay! You know, the Scottish word for the last day of the year, and the celebration of the new year? It’s perfect seeing as Scotsman Robert Burns’ Auld Lang Syne is synonymous with NYE. Traditional Scottish music, food and festivities are yours to enjoy by candlelight.

P.S.: Pre-registration is required.

cake5Cake, Cake, Cake, Cake

Have your cake and drink it too. With a wide selection of sweet (& cheap) drinks to choose from, it doesn’t have to be your birthday to take advantage of these deals. Cake has some calorie-rich group rates that should not be over-looked, including mixers, party favours, cake platters, and much more!

Hey Upper East Siders, Kim here, with your one and only source into the scandalous closets of Manhattan’s elite. Fashion repeats itself, and so do Gossip Girl’s story lines. The less than suspenseful season finale didn’t hold back on the fashion, however.

Serena was red hot in a red tank tucked into a black floral skirt, and a pair of yellow heels. Serena was back to her old ways; seducing another of Blair’s boyfriends in a black slip at yet another Sheppard celebration, but not before removing her beautiful blue dress, Reed Krakoff color block trench, Dior python print calfskin pumps, and Emily Cho’s oversized folded clutch. Our good girl gone bad, ups and leaves town in a red coat, colourful stripe top, sequin skirt, and blue pumps. So long, S.

Blair looked positively bubblegum in a purple floral sleeveless button up, lacy pink skirt, and matching pink jacket. The new CEO of Waldorf Designs’ earthy coloured dress was a miss, but the Naeem Khan beaded orange gown she donned at the end was a hit, and totally mogul material.

Georgina, aka new-found co-author, made a brief re-appearance in Helmut Lang’s drift asymmetric jacket, Christian Louboutin Roxanne side studded shoulder bag, and Brian Atwood Fontanne suede platform pumps.

Until next time Upper East Siders, you know you love me,XOXO

Serena scores a hole in one with this knitted pullover and for pairing it with a chunky necklace and patterned skirt.

Also, S’ portrayal of B was quite convincing, headband and all.

Blair has been sporting flowers galore lately, and this week’s dress is no different. Blair blossoms in a Peter Somsilk floral dress, with Stella McCartney’s Nappa cross body bag, and Miu Miu penny loafer Mary Jane pumps bring the outfit to full bloom.
Props to Lola and Ivy for making their undercover matching black and red peplum dress anything but underwhelming.
It’s not the first, nor will it likely be the last time Diana says goodbye. Making yet another getaway in style, there was nothing painful about Miss Payne’s exit in an emerald green dress and coral handbag. Good riddance!
Don’t miss the Season 5 finale of Gossip Girl this Monday at 8 pm ET on MuchMusic.

It must be said, Bart Bass looks hella good for someone who is suppose to be dead. Bart, if that is in fact his real name, is back from beyond the grave and lookin’ fine in formal wear.

Secrets, scandal and scheming is all in a day’s work for Blair in a blue Dries Van Noten tweed coat, and brightBrian Atwood Maniac pumps.

Finding her inner Diana, B rocked a Herve Leger Joanne bandage dress à la Diana Payne, Louis Vuitton Monogram Fascination Lockit bag, and Sergio Rossi peep toe slingback pumps.

Serena’s mini A-line patterned dress off the top of last night’s eppy was gorg. S sported Theodora & Callum’sorange multi diamond scarf, and featured on her feet were Repetto ZiZi oxford flats. Talk about having the weight of the world on your shoulders, the design world that is; slung across Serena’s slender frame were Jimmy Choo’s Lara woven shoulder bag, and Marc by Marc Jacobs’ Dreamy logo laptop case.

You know you love me,
